As some of you will know, we had a dormer put into our loft to create more space and ultimately to gain an extra bedroom upstairs.
It was all finished back in November and so I thought I would share with you what our new bedroom is like! You can check out the full tour here…
Below are some close-up photos and links to were I bought things from. The room is not yet finished – still pictures to put up on walls, my desk area needs finishing but the big stuff is in. I promise to share the updates with you when I do finally finish it all!
I got the cushions from H&M Home. They have some lovely bits and the palette was perfect. The sheets are from Habitat . They are washed cotton and so lovely to sleep in. The grey pillows I got in Paris from Merci – they were in the sale so not as expensive as the rest of their bed linen but worth the splurge all the same.
When I was looking for bedside tables, I couldn’t find anything I liked. We have drawers underneath the bed so I wanted something that wouldn’t block those. Something simple. So I decided to use a combination of box shelves. I painted them the colour of the wall and mounted them around the plug socket (with an electrician’s guidance!) I am really happy with the results. Practical and simple.
The lamps were from Hurn & Hurn but you can find them other places too.
I had my dressing table from before the renovations but it was a dark wood. I painted it with Annie Sloan chalk paint in Antoinette. I love the colour of this against the exposed brick wall.
The vase is from H&M Home. The glassware is from Tiger along with the grey cups.
These fairy lights are from Graham & Green. You have to have some fairy lights in your bedroom! And I wanted to highlight the bit of exposed brick wall we have left (it all used to be exposed brick at the back).
