Our Little Girl’s Bedroom: Nursery Tour

Our Nursery Tour - our little girl's bedroom :: LisaComfort.com

It’s been two and a half weeks since Jasmine arrived, and after weeks of getting the nursery ready for her, it’s finally occupied. She has her own little girl’s bedroom and it’s so sweet! Definitely one of my favourite rooms in the house.

Before Jasmine came we didn’t know if we were having a boy or a girl, so I wanted to keep the palette quite neutral with pretty greens and greys. They are calming, soothing colours for me, but they also help to keep the room feeling light and fresh. Though it’s perfectly baby-sized, it’s not the biggest space so keeping a bright and open feel was important to me.

I filmed a little tour of the nursery, which you can watch on below or by heading my YouTube channel.

If you’d like a closer look, scroll down to see close-up photos and details on where I found everything.

We got our cot from Mothercare and accessorised it with this super cute bunny mobile from Mamas & Papas. So adorable! Matt’s mum knitted the gorgeous grey blanket for us. I love all the different textures. The crocheted sheep was from Etsy – because I haven’t finished crocheting my bunny for Jasmine yet!

The pine tree decals are from The Lovely Wall Company. I love decals because they’re so much easier than wallpaper, and much simpler to change if you fancy a new look. Saying that, I hope Jasmine will love these for years.

I made the mountain shelves myself because I thought they’d look perfect in the pine tree decal forest. There’s a tutorial coming soon!

In-keeping with my grey theme, I chose these Cox & Cox felt storage baskets. We’ve been really lucky that a lot of people have given us things for Jasmine, so these baskets are perfect for storing everything until she’s old enough to need them.

I think this has to be my favourite thing in the nursery, the beautifully handwoven laundry basket from Artisanne. Pink was a controversial choice when we didn’t know the sex of the baby, but I definitely would have styled it out for a boy too. As it is it’s just right in a little girl’s bedroom. It’s pretty huge but babies create a lot of washing – thankfully this basket can handle it!

Elephants are my favourite animal so I had to make room for these elephant doorknobs from Zara Home once I spotted them. So cute!

I told you I love elephants! This beautiful crocheted one was from Etsy, and he looks lovely sitting on top of these round boxes from Ikea. You can never have enough storage!

This is my feeding chair, and my little corner of the room. I bought this pink cushion from Primark, and the turquoise blanket which you can just see is from Urbanara. (I love their blankets!) All coordinating, my turquoise mug is sitting on my stencilled side table!

I couldn’t resist this origami bunny night light. It’s from Cox & Cox again and just perfect for a little girl’s bedroom.

Beautifully matching the theme again and tying the room together is this pretty scallop rug from H&M Home.

And that’s Jasmine’s bedroom! All these pictures were taken before she arrived which is why it’s looking so neat. Sadly it’s not quite like that at the moment! However I do hope she will inherit my love of tidying and one day it might be returned to its former glory!

I hope you enjoyed that little tour. Don’t forget you can pin all the images to Pinterest so you can save them for the future. Have a lovely day everyone!
