What a year!
I can’t believe it’s been a year since I launched my site. SO much has happened this past year but it still doesn’t feel like that long ago. Time flies when you’re having a good time!
Scrolling back through all the posts there have been so many DIYs, vlogs, room tours, favourite places to visit and general creative adventures, all of which I have loved sharing with you. Some of my favourites were my DIY Copper Pipe Jewellery Stand – I look at it every day on my dressing table; these DIY Hoop Earrings – sooo pretty; I loved the shoot we did at Palm Vaults – the prettiest cafe in Hackney, and my Style Round-ups are great to look back at – it’s so weird seeing myself pregnant!
I have had the opportunity to work with some great people: Jane Toft (branding and logo whizz), Anna Higgie (beautiful illustrations), Kangan Arora (the wonderful photographer), for DIY projects I have collaborated with Charlotte from Lotts & Lots, Cassie Pryce and Steph from Rabbit & the Rose, and the ultimate wordsmith, Alex Whatley. And I can promise you more from these guys this year.
Possibly the most exciting thing that happened last year was the launch of my magazine. It was the perfect end to a great year and felt like the culmination of all the creativity and hard work that we have put into this site. And to work with the talented Lara Watson was amazing. Watch out for Issue 2, coming soon!
What many of you don’t know is that all of this, my new site/brand/channel was something I came up with and worked on for almost two years with Katherine Raderecht – my Brand Consultant. She has been such an inspiration and has provided a much needed spring board to bounce off.
So what is in store for 2018?….
Well more of the magazines, that’s for sure. I will be letting you know about subscription in the next few weeks. There will be more ‘product’ related launches. I can’t tell you about all of them but there is one secret I can’t bear to keep any longer… And that is that in March I will be launching my very own fabric range! (Yep, fabric!!) It’s been over a year since I started working on my designs and it has been a painfully slow (spot the impatient person!) but fascinating journey, and I cannot wait to show you them. I plan to launch them at the Knitting & Stitching Show in Olympia, so watch this space for more updates. Keep your eye on my Instagram feed for sneak peeks!
I want to say THANK YOU to all of you who read these posts and watch my vlogs and who have bought goodies from my shop. I really stepped out of my ‘Comfort zone’ and you guys made that so much easier. So as a thank you to you all, there is 30% off on the Lisa Comfort shop until midnight on Monday 22nd January 2018. Just used voucher code THANKYOUGUYS at the checkout.
See you soon!
