Trade is a cool cafe on Essex Road, directly opposite our new shop, so I have just discovered it.
I popped in there for lots of teas, coffees and treats whilst we were fitting out the shop. And since then, I have been in a couple of times for brunch which was yummy.
They always have a variety of homemade cakes which look delicious. I can personally vouch for the the millionaires shortbread!
I love the interior. Lots of copper pipe detail – which I love. It has quite a Brooklyn vibe to it – some nice exposed brick and industrial pendant lights.
There isn’t masses of room and sometimes you have to wait for a seat but they seem to have quite fast turnaround so I have never had to wait longer than 10 minutes. The only thing I would say is there isn’t much room for buggies – be prepared to collapse it and pop it under the table.
They have some amazing sandwiches on the menu. My personal favourite is their Chicken & Bacon Club but I have also had their Grilled Cheese Sourdough sandwiches which are also delicious. You can check the menu out here.
So if you are heading to our Essex Road shop then make time to pop in here. They are open 7 days a week!
