This post is for sewists and non-sewists. I thought I would share some fabric and style inspiration for some of my favourite patterns of ours, but then also choose items that are in the shops right now. So that any of you who can’t sew (I am talking to most of my friends here!) or don’t have time to sew (mums!), can just treat yourself to something!
This is the Eve dress, possibly the most popular ‘summer’ dress in our collection. I love it. I love the romance, the ease of it and how it looks fab with a floral fabric! I love the sleeve here on the red dress (bottom left). I think that would be a lovely hack to do to Eve. There is a straight sleeve version for cooler days or if you want to wear one with a cardigan. But it does mean the dress loses some of its romanticism and this little cuff frill detail adds it back in.
The navy dress (bottom right) is a lovely fabric. I think navy prints are always so versatile as they can make a dress suitable for both day or night wear depending on how you accessorise it. I don’t have a navy Eve and I am now on the hunt for the perfect navy print fabric!
My favourite blouse. I can’t imagine a phase in my life when I won’t want a Pussy Bow Blouse in my wardrobe. I have about 10 and I still want more! I love them in a plain silk-like below – it gives them more of a ‘work’ vibe.
But give me a print any day. This floral print (bottom left) is gorgeous and here it is styled with dark work skirt/trousers but I would wear this with jeans and not tucked in. The polka dot version (bottom right) has made me march straight to our polka dot crepes and pick up a length as I don’t have a version like this and want one in my life – now.
I loved wearing my Lucia top on holiday in Porto – I haven’t worn it much since as it was too hot, but now it has cooled down again I will be getting it out. I want to make a pair of spotty black and white Carrie trousers to go with it – love this combo below.
I do have a lot of Ella’s in my wardrobe – I don’t really need another but a swiss dot version in white like this one (bottom right) is gorgeous. I don’t think wearing it with white jeans would be too practical for me but think a pair of pastel pink Mia jeans would look great with it. The large striped top (bottom left) is super cool – I don’t think I have seen any fabric like this out there but I am going to start looking!
Recognise this blue fabric?? Yep, they made a wrap dress and culottes out of it – Warehouse we’re obviously keen on it too! So I better pick up extra navy print crepe when I find some so I can make culottes too!
